First Love

hihi people, i'm back again...in a sense...listening to 'First Love' by Hikaru Utada. I'm sure a lot of people know this song, it has a nice melody, good vocals, meaningful lyrics?(basically i dunno what the singer is singing because she's singing in Japanese, except for some English words here and there)...whatever it is, it's nice and has a really whimisical feel to it...great for romancing girls :) heehee...
hmm, dunno why but just feel like talking about this song...it has this tinge of sadness and regret and kind of just reminding everyone of the sadness and regrets they might have in their life and this regret is of love, hmm, perhaps love unfulfilled, love lost, love unrequited, etc...anyway, it's just about love, a certain kind of love...a love that longs for the other half, a love that seeks comfort not from its tangible presence but of the intangible yet real emotions and feelings felt by this love and these feelings are real, they are real, so, so, so very real that the person experiencing it is just kinda left grasping for air from the reality of this love. It's the kind of love that can't be forgotten but to be remembered for always...
Maybe the song title is hinting at the kind of love this song is trying to portray, 'first love'...the first time you fall in love...I wonder how many of us remember that first love...the first time we get that rush of emotions well up in our hearts...that euphoria...that happiness...that nervousness...that uncertainty...that disbelief...that joy...that shock...that surprise...that wealth of feelings just getting you confused, dizzy with joy and wanting to shout with all your might!
