YAM Retreat @ Austin Hills

The Charis Christian Church's Young Adult Ministry (YAM) Retreat was held from 12-13 May 2006 at Austin Hills Golf Resort at JB, Malaysia. It was a wonderful time of craziness, slacking, great fun and spiritual refreshing. About 19 people went on this trip and all had a good time interacting with one another as games were played with much laughter and spontaneity, songs were sang and God's word was preached :) It was also a much needed break to rest and relax for those who have been busy with school and work, as well as time of gathering together as the Yammers group together to spend precious moments of communication and interaction. Swimming, going to the steam bath and jacuzzi, playing carom and table tennis, bowling, eating and shopping at City Square shopping center and late night supper in the suites were the various activities that went on during the two days of retreat.

God's presence was also greatly felt during the worship and prayer sessions as everyone focused on giving God the very best. Sharing of God's word during the sessions from the Book of James reminded everyone to love one another sincerely, not to love with partiality or biasness. The Yammers' faith are strengthened as God told us to have faith in Him and that faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God. Thank You, Lord!
